YAP YAP YAHOOOOOOO!! Schnoz is now official Nervy's Sponsor Dog!
What a wonderful surprise, this morning I found the official papers of Schnoz in my mailbox! There is a certificate stating that I now am an officially sponsor of Schnoz!
Receiving these papers so quickly, on the day before Christmas, makes it even more special!
Perhaps this sponsoring a dog is also an idea for you. You can ask someone else to sponsor a dog for you for your birthday or other occasion, or you can sponsor a dog yourself. A fun idea for your next birthday maybe? Or as a gift to a parent or brother or sister?
The people of DogTrust have sent me the following information about my new friend:
"Schnoz is a boy and he is a bit older already. He loves Ratty his squeaky toy. Schnoz had a rough life on the streets, before he was taken in by DogsTrust. He suffer from arthritis and because of that he moves slowly. But Schnoz has a big personality and together with his toy he make sure he is noticed and doesn't get ignored". :) I love that boy already and am happy he is my friend!
I'll keep you all informed about the news I receive about Schnoz.
Merry Christmas from Schnoz and I!

A very special Christmas Present!
While Nervy was decorating the Christmas tree, he hummed a Merry Christmas song.
He thought of the fun he would have with the family, sitting around the Christmas tree unwrapping the gifts.
He had been laughing at the idea what would happen when Regina saw her Christmas present.
Suddenly there was a hard bang on the door. Nervy startled, and a big Christmas ball fell on the floor. Grumbling, he walked to the door. When he opened the door there stood a large Border Collie with a huge backpack, which he had put in front of himself.
"Good evening Nervy", said the Post Collie with a deep voice. "I'm bringing you a warm gift from a good friend."
Nervy's eyes began to shine as he looked at the backpack with great anticipation.
"Come in, come in", Nervy said to the Post Collie.
The Post Collie gratefully accepted the invitation and asked if he could just sit by the fireplace for a few minutes to warm his old bones.
"Of course", Nervy said and he took a bunch of toys from his basket to offer the big Post Collie some space.
The Collie nestled itself snugly in the big basket in front of the fireplace and put his backpack down on the floor for Nervy.
"Open it", said Collie to Nervy who was trampling of curiosity,
Nervy opened the big bag and saw a beautiful oblong package wrapped in Christmas paper. On top of the Christmas package was an envelope.
Impatient, but careful to avoid damaging the beautiful Christmas paper, Nervy pulled the envelope of the package.
With trembling fingers, he opened the envelope. Meanwhile the Collie grunted from pleasure in the warm basket.
Nervy unwrapped the package and found this beautiful picture of Schnoz in it. He got tears in his eyes when he looked at the old face of this sweet dog and he was wishing he could let Schnoz share his basket in front of the fire place.
OK, that was not possible but Nervy did hang the picture of Schnoz above the fire place so he could lay in his basket and look at him. So this is what he did after the Post Collie was warmed up again and left. He cleaned up all the mess and sat in his basket admiring the lovely picture of Schnoz, his new friend he got from a very special friend.
"Indeed dear friend, this was the best Christmas gift you could have given me! This gift indeed holds compassion, warmth and love for those who are not so lucky as I am and I thank you for this present!
My Christmas wish for this year is that I hope more people everywhere on the world will have friends like you, who will give them the same kind of present that will help the STRAY AND ABANDONED DOGS world wide.
Merry Christmas to all of you, and may kindness be in your heart!!"
